History
Campus Transition: Cedar Creek Intermediate to Creekside Middle
The campus originally opened as Cedar Creek Intermediate School, operating as a dedicated 5th and 6th grade facility within the Bastrop Independent School District.
In 2021, Bastrop ISD voters passed a comprehensive bond program designed to address rapid residential growth in western Bastrop County. The bond master plan called for constructing two new elementary schools to return 5th grade students to their neighborhood elementary campuses, while transforming Cedar Creek Intermediate into a comprehensive 6th–8th grade middle school officially renamed Creekside Middle School. (Simultaneously, Bastrop Intermediate was transformed into Riverside Middle School).
