Treemont Homes For Sale
Overview
Combine exemplary-rated schools, wide streets, shady sidewalks, and elegant architecture and you have Treemont: a coveted West Austin community. And possibly the best part? Its location: close to Zilker Park, downtown, Westlake High, Cedar Creek Elementary, and Hill Country Middle, pedestrian traffic is a daily ritual, including the sight of kids walking or biking to school.
Treemont was established in 1984 and encompasses 130 homes on ample, wooded lots. Many back up to the Eanes Creek greenbelt that runs through the neighborhood. Most were built in the late 90s, with others as recently as 2007. There are also a select number of condominiums in the neighborhood. Home features include gourmet kitchens, tile roofs, granite countertops, center islands, sprinkler systems, walk-in closets, covered patios, Palladian windows, cathedral ceilings, and top-of-the-line appliances.
“For sale signs never last long in Treemont,” said Susan Kim, who moved to Treemont in 1997. She said that although the neighborhood is relatively young, the trees are “magnificent” and “shade the homes and sidewalks. It’s like living in an enchanted forest on a quiet hill.”
