Neighborhood Location

Senna Hills is bordered by Bee Caves Road on the south, with quick access to Loop 360, located east of the neighborhood, and a private ranch and green space to the north. Ranch Road 620 runs parallel to Senna Hills just west of the community. Taking Bee Caves Road, downtown Austin is 13 miles away, or about 30 minutes by car.

Homeowner’s Association

Residents of the Senna Hills neighborhood are required to be a part of the Senna Hills Owner’s Association. The cost of membership covers items like community maintenance, recreational facility upkeep, and events that happen throughout the year.

Amenities

The Senna Hills neighborhood, with its close proximity to green space, golf courses, and urban centers, offers residents a variety of recreational activities. The Senna Hills amenity center has a large swimming pool and a wading pool for children, basketball courts, tennis courts, and a playscape. Residents also can access the walking trails that weave through the greenbelt from the amenity center.

Aquatics

The Senna Hills amenity center has a large pool with lap lanes and small wading pool available for residents and their guests. The pool is shaded by native oak trees and can be scheduled for private parties by Senna Hills residents.

The Barton Creek Resort and Spa is a short ten minute drive from Senna Hills and features two resort swimming pools with kid-friendly areas and lounge chairs surrounding the decks. In addition to swimming or sunning, the Pool Cabana offers snacks and drinks for guests to enjoy.

Parks

There are approximately two miles of trails in and around Senna Hills that can be enjoyed by hikers, joggers, and bikers. The Senna Hills trail system was established in 2009 to provide enjoyable outdoor space for the community, and the Senna Hills HOA Board is considering trail expansions and new entry points, which residents are able to weigh in on at monthly meetings. Residents also can contact S&S Trails to build entry points to the trails directly off their private property.

The Emma Long Metropolitan Park is close to Senna Hills on a map but takes 25 minutes by car in order to cross Lake Austin. The park features wide open green space, shady trees, hiking trails, fishing, volleyball, basketball courts, a motorcycle trail, pavilions, camping (66 sites available), a lakeside beach, and boat docks.

Golf

Residents of Senna Hills are in close proximity to many golf courses, with four contained within the award-winning Barton Creek Resort and Spa, just three miles away. The facility also features the Barton Creek Golf Academy, which can help players young, old, and in between enhance their game. In addition to golf and swimming pools, the resort offers a tennis court, an 18-hole miniature golf course, and a luxurious spa. The four championship golf courses include Fazio Foothills, Fazio Canyons, Crenshaw Cliffside, and the Palmer Lakeside. Each 18-hole course combines the design and knowledge of some of golf’s greatest legends with the rolling beauty of Austin’s hill country.

Just ten minutes away from Senna Hills is the Falconhead Golf Club, featuring a course created by PGA Tour Design architects and accentuated by knobby oak and cedar trees, as well as rolling hills and natural water features.

The Hills of Lakeway is a 20-minute drive from Senna Hills and boasts four challenging golf courses, including an 18-hole Nicklaus signature course and an 18-hole Nicklaus designed course. In addition, the country club offers members a driving range, tennis and fitness center, recreational pool, dining facilities, and a spa.

Shopping and Restaurants

Located just 30 minutes from downtown, about 10 minutes from Barton Creek Square, and less than five miles from the Hill Country Galleria, Senna Hills is in a prime location for accessing convenient shopping and dining options. As Bee Cave has grown, so have the retail and restaurant options for Senna Hills residents. Dining options nearby include Iron Cactus, Mandola’s Italian Market, Fion Wine Pub, El Arroyo, Zoot, Blue Bamboo, The Grove Wine Bar, Zuzu Tex-Mex, and Bountiful Cafe.

Just nine miles from the neighborhood is Barton Creek Square Mall, offering large anchor stores like Macy’s, Dillard’s, Nordstrom’s, and J.C. Penney, over 170 boutique stores, a 14 screen IMAX movie theater, and several dining options. Smaller stores include American Eagle Outfitters, Milk & Honey Spa, Forever 21, Sephora, Apple, Learning Express Toys, Kay Jewelers, and more.

The Hill Country Galleria is approximately three miles from Senna Hills, located just off Bee Caves Road. The shopping center has 152 acres of shopping, dining and entertainment options, as well as upscale office and residential space. Over 90 retail and restaurant tenants fill the Galleria, including a Barnes & Noble, Dillard’s, and Whole Foods Market, alongside a Cinemark 14 Theatre. Restaurants include a Madam Mam’s Thai Cuisine, Panera Bread, Tony C’s Coal Fired Pizza, and a Zinger’s Bar & Grill. The Galleria is surrounded by a nature preserve that is ideal for viewing wildflowers, trees, and rocky streams. An outdoor amphitheater also hosts shows periodically for shoppers and diners.

The Village at West Lake Shopping Center is a short ten minute drive from the Senna Hills neighborhood. This retail center is home to many specialty retailers like Tyler’s Sports, Provencal Home & Garden, Santa Fe Optical, and Bright Beginnings & Beyond. The center is located at the intersection of Bee Caves Road and Capital of Texas Highway. Anchor stores include a large HEB grocer, Barnes & Noble, and an Old Navy.
