The Onion Creek neighborhood in southern Austin was established in 1974 and is known for its golf course, tall trees and the creek, spacious lots, and proximity to downtown Austin. The Onion Creek District Park is located in the neighborhood and is a great hiking destination, as it features a trail that follows Onion Creek toward McKinney Falls.
