The Austin CVB has compiled dozens of ways Austinites can immerse themselves in the spirit of the season, while learning even more about the town we love.

Specials include boat rental deals from Austin Sailboat Rentals, discounts on events held at locations such as Iron Cactus and Crave, holiday pricing on select wine cases and bundles at Max’s Wine Dive, and even a coupon for Holy Cacao!

While you’re running around enjoying that Austin shopping vibe, how about stopping to celebrate a little quiet time, with a bed and breakfast package at The Driskill? Or, gift yourself the Winter Wishes Holiday Package at the Omni Barton Creek Resort & Spa. (The Resort also will have its 3,800 square-foot ice rink with 200,000 twinkling lights open from December 19 through January 4.)

Austin holiday eventsTake the little ones to Austin’s Teddy Bear Teas at the Four Seasons Hotel, where kids can enjoy a tea service with drinks and sweets, plus have fun caroling and listening to readings by Santa Claus. Teddy Bear Teas will be held on weekend afternoons November 29 through December 21.

Fun for adults and kids will be found at “A Charlie Brown Christmas,” featuring the music of Vince Guaraldi. At The Paramount and State Theatre, this show will be a live performance of the original TV classic!

One of Austin’s free events is the holiday-themed tour of the Capitol, which “highlights architectural features that have inspired the Texas Capitol Ornament collection and the diverse ethnic groups that helped settle Texas and the holiday traditions they left behind.” Tours depart weekdays at 10:45 a.m. and 1:45 p.m., Saturdays at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., and Sundays at 1 p.m. from December 1 through December 23.
