Southbound Lake Austin Boulevard Exit Closed

The southbound exit to Lake Austin Boulevard from MoPac closed this weekend and will stay closed for at least a month, according to KXAN.com.

The Enfield Road exit will serve as a detour: Drivers can exit Enfield, stay on the frontage road, and then turn west onto Lake Austin Boulevard.

The closure is part of the MoPac Improvement Project, which entails adding toll lanes both directions between Parmer Lane and Lady Bird Lake. In the KXAN report, a project representative says this closure will decrease the project’s completion time.
