New Luxury Home Project Coming to Dripping Springs

Southern Land Company has purchased approximately 70 acres of land in Dripping Springs for a high-end, luxury home community. In a scenic and secluded area near Treaty Creek Distilling at the end of Silver Creek Road, the community will offer 10 homes on 1.5-acre lots and 17 homes on two-acre lots. Nineteen of these homes will back up to Barton Creek or offer bluff, river, or Hill Country views.

“We are eager to get started on what is going to be a collection of beautiful, inviting, high-quality homes,” said Dan Hutts, president of SLC’s Hill Country Region homebuilding group. “Barton Creek provides an exceptional backdrop to our future community. It will be well suited for the discerning homebuyer who seeks a blend of unique design, extreme attention to detail and a stunning natural setting.”

A gathering center with river access also is planned as part of the community, “carefully working with the beauty of the land and its natural Hill Country trees and open spaces,” according to the company. Homes will be “distinct, luxury, single-family homes reflecting SLC’s hallmarks of strict design principles and quality craftsmanship.”

The starting price for the homes is expected to be $1.5 million, and construction is expected to begin in September 2022. This will be Southern Land Company’s first project in the Texas Hill Country region. Southern Land Company announced it expansion into Hays, Burnet, Comal, and Travis Counties in October 2021.
