New HEB Opens on Lake Austin Boulevard

HEB has opened its first multi-level store in Austin, with a 97,000-square foot store at 2652 Lake Austin Boulevard that has a two-story porch with views of the lake.

HEB Lake Austin includes a True Texas BBQ restaurant, SouthFlo Pizza restaurant, a full bar with indoor and outdoor seating, and a coffee shop with specialty coffees and handmade breakfast tacos.

The grounds include structured underground parking with a “welcoming, pedestrian-friendly perimeter with wide sidewalks to encourage walking and biking,” according to the HEB Newsroom.

Indoors, customers have access to three elevators, escalators and cart escalators, and a stairway. The overall design is intended to complement the neighborhood and includes natural lighting, natural materials like limestone and wood, and vine-covered walls. Additionally, condensation from the refrigeration systems will be captured for landscape irrigation, and the store has solar panels and EV chargers.
