10.   Travis Country West: There were the same number of homes sold in Travis Country West between January and November in 2006 than in 2007. Homes actually took almost twice as much time to sell in 2006 versus 2007, and homes sold for more per square foot on average in 2007. There were 26 homes sold in Travis Country West from January through November, 2007. The average home that sold was 4 beds, 3 baths, 2,985 square feet, and sold for $125 per square foot ($370,654) after 44 days on the market. There were 26 homes sold during the same period in 2006. In 2006 the average home that sold was 4 beds, 3 baths, 2,965 square feet, and sold for $117 per square foot ($342,695) after 86 days on the market.
11.   West Lake Hills, TX: The city of West Lake Hills is located deep in the heart of Austin, Texas just west of Lady Bird Lake. There were 10 more homes sold in West Lake Hills between January and November in 2006 than in 2007, although homes sold faster and for more per square foot in 2007 on average. There were 28 homes sold in West Lake Hills, Texas from January through November, 2007. The average home that sold was 4 beds, 3 baths, 2,921 square feet, and sold for $258 per square foot ($737,964) after 30 days on the market. There were 38 homes sold during the same period in 2006. In 2006 the average home that sold was 3 beds, 3 baths, 3,107 square feet, and sold for $213 per square foot ($665,982) after 54 days on the market.
12.   Westlake: In addition to the city of West Lake Hills, there are many subdivisions in proximity to or within West Lake Hills that are referred to in part or whole as Westlake. Although some homes sold in Westlake subdivisions are located within West Lake Hills, others are actually located in the city of Austin. As a result, I’m posting the statistics for Westlake subdivisions in addition to the city of West Lake Hills to show the readers the additional homes sold in the greater West Lake Hills area, also known as Westlake.  There were 5 more homes sold in Westlake between January and November in 2006 than in 2007, although homes sold faster and for more per square foot in 2007 on average. There were 33 homes sold in Westlake, Texas subdivisions from January through November, 2007. The average home that sold was 4 beds, 3 baths, 3,199 square feet, and sold for $209 per square foot ($715,231) after 45 days on the market. There were 38 homes sold during the same period in 2006. In 2006 the average home that sold was 4 beds, 3 baths, 3,797 square feet, and sold for $174 per square foot ($718,422) after 63 days on the market.
