Did you know Austin and nearby Marble Falls offer motocross sport enthusiasts acres of off-road parks and trails for ATV, UTV 4×4, or motocross dirt biking?
The City of Austin offers a trail in Emma Long Metropolitan Park, close to the River Place neighborhood, while private parks offer multiple trails, providing fun and adventure for all levels of drivers. Be sure to check the below websites for current schedules, fees, and track rules in advance of transporting vehicles to the trails. Here are two of the largest parks in or close to Austin:
ADVMX
ADVMX is Austin’s premier motocross sport park, featuring three tracks to challenge all levels of riding. The main track has ideal, loamy dirt and is always fully prepped, and the Vet track and beginner track are ideal for Junior and Vet riders. The facility is located in southeast Austin, not far from the Circle C neighborhood, 15 minutes east of the Austin airport, and just a few miles from the new Formula One race track.
The Main Pro Track is kept ripped, tilled, and watered for practice, and is ideal for intermediate to advanced riders. It features several technical jumps, a set of 14 whoops, and rhythm sections. Track Master Chris Ibey regularly changes the jumps and adds new sections and turns so riders are constantly challenged. The new Vet Track is fun and challenging for all young and beginner riders, allowing them to hone their skills before advancing to the Main Pro track. The Beginner’s Track is very simple and gives new riders an area to safely learn and practice the basics of riding, including shifting, turning, leaning and braking.
Hidden Falls Adventure Park
Hidden Falls Adventure Park is a 3,000 acre outdoor park that features a variety of activities that are fun for both children and adults, as well as 240 miles of off-road trails. Located north of Lakeway, 7 miles east of Marble Falls on FM 1431 in the heart of the Texas Hill Country, the park offers daily passes, extended stay discounts, group discounts, and annual memberships. Trail systems in the park are designed for motorcycle, ATV, UTV, and full size vehicles, from stock 4×4’s to rock crawlers. Trail difficulty levels range from beginner to extreme. The three motorcycle trails are single track and one way, and motorcycles also can utilize ATV trails. The ATV and UTV trails are double track and also feature a riding zone for kids. Full size vehicles and rock crawlers can experience some of the most extreme and difficult to navigate terrain in Texas, with streams, uphill climbs, ledges, and dirt to traverse. Hidden Falls Adventure Park is open Thursday through Sunday.
