Lucy’s Fried Chicken Coming to Lake Travis

A new Lucy’s Fried Chicken is planned for the Hudson Bend area of Lake Travis. According to a Community Impact story, the local restaurant will take the site that was vacated when Iguana Grill closed in February.

Plans for the restaurant include expanding the bar area for a larger lake view, remodeling the kitchen for a large frying area, remodeling and enclosing a separate structure for private parties, and adding a playground.

The restaurant is expected to open in about six months and, like its north Austin and south Austin locations, will feature food items such as deep-fried deviled eggs, fried chicken, and waffles. There are also plans for an oyster bar and weekend brunches. As a nod to the former restaurant, the new Lucy’s will offer live music.
