Honoring Our Veterans Golf Tournament

Veterans from the Lake Travis area are hosting a fundraising golf tournament on Monday, June 15, benefitting Honor Flight Austin and Veterans Equine Therapy Services. If the $50,000 fundraising goal is met, Honor Flight will sponsor up to 25 Lake Travis veterans from WWII, Korea and Vietnam on a trip to Washington, D.C. to visit to the war memorials and Veterans Equine Therapy Services will sponsor up to 25 combat veterans in a horsemanship program connecting military families with rescue horses.

All levels of golfers are welcome, and tee times will start at 8 a.m. on The Hills Signature Course. Interested participants may register in the pro shops at The Hills, Flintrock, Yaupon, and Live Oak golf courses or online at http://honoringourveteransgolf.com. Sponsorships opportunities also are available: $1,000 will sponsor a local veteran on an Honor Flight or enable a veteran family to participate in the VETS program. Learn more at the above website.
