Dec. 12-24: Enjoy Holiday Shopping at the 37th Annual Armadillo Bazaar!

Love Austin music, art, and giving imaginative, one-of-a-kind gifts? Many a home, from Barton Creek to Tarrytown, holds a beloved piece of art that came as a gift from the Armadillo Bazaar. This holiday season, head down to the Palmer Events Center in Central Austin for the annual Armadillo Christmas Bazaar—Austin’s hub for holiday shopping, live music, food and fun!  

The 2012 show runs December 12th through Christmas Eve, 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. daily at the Palmer Events Center. An art fair and trade show rolled into one, it has long been a best-loved scene for holiday shopping, Austin-style!  

Over the course of 12 days, 160 artisans will be selling their latest works of original art while thirty-plus live musical acts perform. The 2012 Armadillo Christmas Bazaar will feature more new artists and bands, as well as longtime favorites. 

“We’ve put a lot of effort into developing local talent and recruiting national artists who provide high quality work for Austin’s eclectic taste,” says Bruce Willenzik, the event’s longtime producer. “As a result, we’ve built a reputation for presenting fine art especially suited for the downtown living environment.”

ADMISSION? Kids under 12 are free. Adults pay $8 evenings and weekends, $5 weekdays before 7 p.m.
