Austin Kayak is Giving Away a Kayak!

If gliding a kayak across the waters of Lady Bird Lake sounds like your idea of heaven, then it’s time to dust off the video camera and get creative. Rather than bundling up and spending the winter months stuck indoors, Austin Canoe and Kayak (ACK) wants to put you into your very own water seat with the “Why I Deserve to Win a Kayak” video contest.

The contest is simple and doesn’t require having the next Steven Spielberg on your side. Applicants must first register on ACK’s Facebook page, and while they’re there, pick out which Native Watercraft of Liquid Logic kayak they want. Then comes the fun part of actually creating the video – a 3-minute ode to the water sport that shows audiences why you deserve to win one of those shiny new kayaks. ACK suggests making the videos humorous and entertaining, and each video must mention the brand and model kayak you have your eye on. After your video is uploaded (have it registered, filmed, and uploaded by November 1), get as many people to “like” your submission as possible. The most liked entry wins that grand prize.
