Apply for Leadership Westlake

Applications are being accepted for Leadership Westlake, presented by the Westlake Hills Chamber of Commerce, from now until July 31, 2018. Leadership Westlake develops Westlake-area leaders through education and exclusive experiences and networking opportunities. The program also aims to foster commitment to the region.

Leadership Westlake is a nine-month program, with attendees meeting once per month from September 2018 to May 2019. Participants can expect to network with other leaders, potentially develop business relationship with other attendees, learn more about Westlake’s major business sectors, participate in community problem solving, enhance leadership and decision-making skills, learn how businesses can create positive impacts through their work, and more, according to the Westlake Hills Chamber of Commerce.

The class, limited to 20 individuals, is targeted to emerging leaders and those “interested in moving their careers to the next level.” The slogan for the program is, “Exclusive Access. Deeper Connections. Future Leaders.”

Leadership Westlake Curriculum

• Basic Leadership Skills: Orientation and Leadership Retreat
• The Non-Profit Sector
• Education – Cradle to Grave
• Building a Strong Local Economy and Planning and Development in a Growing Community
• Government in Action
• Health Care Delivery Systems

Tuition for participants is $750 and includes one overnight retreat, a personality assessment, the classes and materials, and some meals. Applicants will be notified whether they are accepted by August 15, 2018, and tuition is due by September 7, 2018. Limited sponsorships of the program also are available.
