Alamo Lakeline Coming to Northwest Austin
published on July 19, 2012
Of all the original Austin businesses to aspire to world domination, Alamo Drafthouse is one of the favorites. Its newest local theater, Alamo Slaughter Ln in South Austin already has proven popular with nearby residents, especially those in Circle C. Now, on the heels of that theater opening, Alamo has announced its newest venture: Alamo Lakeline.
The Northwest Austin theater is being built from the ground up and will be their largest one yet, with 10 individual theaters inside. It will be constructed with state of the art designs and will feature a beer bar with a large selection of brews on tap.
The project will be nestled in the new Lakeline Market community retail center that is being developed at the southwest corner of Lakeline Boulevard and US Highway 183. The shopping center will be anchored by a 117,000 square foot HEB Plus Grocery store and fuel station. The initial phase of the center is projected to open in November of 2012, and when complete will include a variety of retail, restaurant, and service tenants, totaling 265,000 square feet.
Alamo folks are still not sure of the fate of Alamo Lake Creek, which already sits nearby at the Lake Creek Shopping Center. That decision essentially will be made by both the community and the Alamo staff, and it is a decision they plan to spend some time making.
Whether it’s original programming, amazingly crafted food and drink menus, friendly staff, or another of the 50 million reasons to go to Alamo, this Austin success story is spreading its way throughout Austin and the entire country. For anyone who is looking to be particularly close to the new theater when it opens, especially near the vast offerings of places like Lake Travis, the Austin Realtors at Regent Property Group can help find that perfect home.
