Parks
Sun Tree Park is located at the intersection of Big View Drive and River Place Boulevard. The park offers visitors an outdoor pavilion, charcoal grills for bar-b-ques, playscapes, a soccer field, gazebo, and open air exercise stations.
Woodlands Park is at the bottom of Big View Drive, along the shores of Panther Hollow. The park is lined by many large shade trees and features a covered pavilion, charcoal grills, jungle gyms and swings for children, small soccer fields for practice, and benches. Across from the park, a board walk overlooks a pond with fountain that is lined with benches.
Nature Trail
The River Place Nature Trail winds through a wooded nature preserve in the neighborhood. The trail heads are located at the bottom of River Place Boulevard near the country club and at the board walk. The trail follows Panther Creek and provides an ideal path for walkers with benches for enjoying the view but also provides vigorous hiking and courses for jogging.
Golf
The River Place Country Club is a private club featuring an expansive golf course, tennis courts, fitness equipment, swimming pools, dining areas, and organized social activities for the community. The club features a 48,000 square foot clubhouse, a junior tennis academy, and a golf course designed in part by Austin celebrity and U.S. Open champion Tom Kite. The 18-hole championship course is one of the most beautiful and dramatic courses in central Texas, providing a challenging golf experience with breathtaking views. Members of the Club enjoy golf, tennis, fitness, swimming, dining, and social events.

Retail Shopping
River Place is near several large shopping complexes, each bringing the conveniences of central living to the Hill Country. Target, Randall’s, and an H.E.B. are within a ten-minute drive of River Place, and upscale boutiques are 5–15 minutes away.
Quinlan Crossing
Quinlan Crossing shopping center is located a short drive down 620 from River Place. A newer development, this 61-acre space remains in a mostly natural condition, leaving plenty of room for rose-colored panoramic views of the surrounding hill country. Anchoring the site is a Randall’s grocery store, surrounded by over 800 parking spaces. The remaining 15 retail acres include a bank, several restaurants, a variety of retail shops, and a medical/office building.
Four Points Centre
Just four miles from River Place, the Four Points Centre is home to a selection of retailers that include restaurants, banks, and department stores. Popular retailers include Home Depot, Target, Wal-Mart, Bank of America, Chase, Wells Fargo, Bellagio’s Italian Bistro, El Salido, and

Hill Country Galleria
Located off Bee Caves Road, the Hill Country Galleria offers 152 acres of eclectic shopping, dining and entertainment, as well as upscale office and residential space. Surrounded by a nature preserve that is dotted with wildflowers, trees, and rocky streams, Hill Country Galleria is a lifestyle center that offers over 90 retail and restaurant options.
