In Austin, median to above median priced homes like those in the Great Hills and Travis Country neighborhoods are some of the fastest movers, with Austin luxury homes gaining steam as well.

Removable Wall Paper and Wall Decals Leave the Style, Ditch the Commitment

Tuesday, July 17th, 2012 at 5:39pm. 6,815 Views

removable wall artTraditional wall paper removal requires a large surgical scraper, liquid solvent that, fingers crossed, doesn’t cause problems if inhaled for hours, biceps the size of bowling balls, and – forget it, I’ll just stick with this ugly wallpaper and call it “retro.”

Committing to wallpaper for the long-haul is no longer necessary, thanks to modern and wholly removable designs and decals from WallCandy Arts. The company designs removable wall paper, peel-and-stick wall decals, seasonal and special occasion wall decorations, and chalkboard decals that can turn any surface into a writeable space. Wall decal kits contain enough removable, reusable, peel and stick wall stickers to transform a plain space into a cozy, personalized haven without making a mess.

fire safety home austinFire safety in a home may start with “Stop, drop, and roll,” but it expands to an array of measures that can be taken to ensure a home is set to help slow fire and provide easy escape for homeowners during an emergency situation. Firescaping through careful plant selection and landscaping along with vegetation maintenance, such as clearing dry or dead plant debris, can play a large part in slowing a fire’s spread before it can reach a home, but prepping the inside of a house and the inhabitants also can help save both the home and life.

After selecting suitable plants, the next step in firescaping is planning fire safety zones with fuel breaks. Fuel breaks are places that can slow the
